This male Thunderbolt to female FireWire 800 adapter is a rare and highly sought after item. It allows FireWire peripherals, some of which are very valuable and irreplaceable, to be connected to later Apple Mac computers (from around 2012 onwards) that are not equipped with FireWire sockets.
