This is a superb original signed mixed media assemblage sculpture by listed artist DANIEL WHEELER (American, b. 1961), dated 1988.

Daniel Wheeler is a Los Angeles-based installation artist/sculptor whose work is exhibited widely in the US and Japan. Wheeler received his BA from Brown University. He has shown his installations at Newport Harbor Art Museum, California; John Michael Kohler Art Center, Sheboygan, Wisconsin; Oakland Museum, California; and California State University at Fullerton Art Gallery. One of his recent projects was a series of sets for the Diavolo Dance Theater, which premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Scotland. In 1990 he received an Art Here and Now award from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

This fantastic sculpture, Untitled 7291, is signed by the artist on the verso "D. Wheeler". It is also titled and dated "1988". It measures 15" high, 7" wide, 9" deep and is in excellent original studio condition with natural existing wear to the wood. PROVENANCE: Douglas S. Cramer Collection, Los Angeles, California.
