The large, open, two-story living/dining area is enhanced by a wall of windows and an adjacent cozy fireplace in the living room. The kitchen is open to this area separated only by the snack bar island so family and social gatherings can be enjoyed by all. Also on the main level, there are two nice bedrooms with closets, laundry and an entry hall closet. The main level bath is split with two doors for private dual use when guests are over. All accessed by a nice wide entry, and topped off with an economical home theater in the living room that hides when not in use!

A welcoming covered porch on the main level also includes two doors out from the laundry/main entry and the kitchen/dining that are protected by a 10 foot self-supportive overhang the runs the entire length of the cabin! This area can be fully screened-in for year-round comfort adding another 380 sq. ft. The main front door is access to your water or majestic view where a nice patio can be laid down to soak up the sun.

In the loft, there is a small nook at the top of the open staircase (great view out main wall windows) and a large 14’ x 14’ room for the kids or a future master bedroom as a ¾ bath is connected for convenience. Overall, an economical, efficient, useful, flexible and fun as this Chalet layout has it all!

·         One full set of prints for the custom cabinets you see in the photos, 8.5” x 11” (MAIN LEVEL ONLY, Bath, inserts and kitchen). Includes 17 cut list drawings (one for each module). (Note: no print for the island top section and posts but detailed photos will give you ideas.).  20 pages total.

·         A CD with over 100 photos of our cabin with detailed pics through the building process.  Every picture is worth a thousand words so you will get a lot of great finish-off and decorating ideas to make your cabin special…including those stairs!

·         Detailed sketches of the home theater cabinet, hot water heater closet and dog house under the steps.

·         Installation tips on an economical cabin-theater with an eight foot video screen! (Yes, you will need to run speaker wire in the walls and plan in advance to do it right but you need this for good stereo music anyway).

All drawings are accurate to what my family & I built in 2007.  However, they are intended to assist you, your builder and the cabinet maker by saving MONEY & TIME by doing it right the FIRST time!  

Plans are on concrete slab - no basement plans available.
