DJ.  In this book, 73 of the early photographs are meticulously reproduced to re-create as precisely as possible the look and effect of Steichen's own master prints. The work charts a critical appreciation of these works and appraises their meaning for the history of photography.  Most of the images are full page and quite striking. This is a nice clean copy, the binding is strong, The text is clean and pages are not torn or dirty. Essay by Mr. Longwell and bibliography included.  DJ has some rough edges and a few small tears.
