Hello, you are viewing my sale for an Antique Japan Pewter Metal Trinket Box With A Wood Lined Interior.  The lid on the box has a scene of two Horses and a Buggy.  The metal on the box is either pewter or some other type of metal.  I am unsure of the exact material.  There are raised letters on the bottom which spell "Made In Japan".  The entire box measures 6 and 1/2" long by 2" tall by 3 and 3/4" wide.  The lid and bottom do not have hinges so the lid is lifted on and off the box.  It appears that at some point there were hinges that connected the lid to the box however they are no longer present.  The lid has a slight bend in it.  The inner wood does have some wear marks.  Overall this is a great box with great detail.  The metal has an intricate design and look to it.
