Item up for sale is one set of female U. S. Navy service stripes, hash marks, for 20 years service - 5 gold on black service stripes for E1 through E-6 personnel.

In accordance with U. S. Navy Uniform Regulations, Chapter 4, Section 2, Part 3, U. S. Navy service stripes consist of embroidered diagonal stripes which are 5 1/4 inches long and 1/4 inches wide for female Navy women. Gold stripes are authorized in gold for 12 cumulative years of Naval active or active reserve service which meets requirements for Good Conduct Service.

All personnel wear one stripe for each four years of active duty service or reserve service in an active status in any of the armed services.
