- Great way to take calcium. On November 26 2017. I need supplemental calcium because of osteoporosis, and I don't want a supplement which also contains magnesium, as they compete with each other (for absorption) and other supplements. I mix this into tea or water in the afternoon when I don't take any other supplements. I like that it doesn't contain additives like pill form.
