October, 1934 cover carried by the United States 3rd place team in the Mac Robertson International Air Race from London, England to Melbourne, Australia.  English half penny tied by London machine cancel and Australian stamp tied by handstamp.  Auxiliary marking in purple reads "Carried by us on Mac Robertson Inter-National air race London Melbourne 3rd place, Time 3 days; 21 hr.; 5 min; 2 sec.  Commander American Crew.  Signed on green ink by Col. Roscoe Turner.  Clean cover with stains/wear on reverse.  A great piece of aviation history.  See scans.
