The needles arrived today and I'm very happy with them because they're polished, seem strong, and each has the size imprinted on it. I am a New Hampshire knitter for 40 years so I have used lots of kinds of needles. Bamboo needles I've bought at a yarn store haven't had these qualities.

These needles are carbonized, which makes them stronger and mildewproof and gives them a lifelong quality assurance. Bleached needles look much lighter than carbonized ones. Although they appear nice when you get them, they don't last long before changing colors, cracking and picking your yarns. Carbonized knitting needles are much more expensive than bleached or waxed ones.
