Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 8.9ins high, 5.9ins wide, 2.8ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire spill vases which feature a child with a spaniel and bird, seated on a shaped base.

Dull gilt base line and embellishment.

Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.

Condition

CONDITION: Male: Fair.

The underside is missing.

Some small flakes to bird's head,

spill rim

and front of base.

Slight wear to reverse.

Slight rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing;

a few specks of kiln grit caught in the glaze to the reverse.

RESTORATION. Remodelled right arm, hand and bowl.

Stabilised and retouched hairline to spill at reverse.

Filled and retouched chips and flakes to base edge

and boy's nose and chin.

Female: Generally good.

Small flake to bird's head.

Some rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: over glazed shrinkage line to the front of base.

RESTORATION. Remodelled left arm, hand, bowl

and bird's tail feathers.

Retouched paint losses to spaniel's markings

and shredded clay.

Returned item must be received by us in the condition it was sent.
If the reason for return is something we did wrong, including damage in transit, you will receive a full refund. We will also cover the return shipping back to us, using our own chosen carrier. Please keep original packaging for the return shipment.
If the reason for return is not something we did wrong, we ask that you arrange and pay for the shipping to us. In some cases, your refund may have our initial shipping costs deducted from the refund amount.
If you are in the USA or Canada, to save international shipping costs, returns are to our location in Georgia, USA. A very rough estimate of how much shipping will cost you, for a USA/Canada return, would be around $60 to $100.
If you are in the UK or elsewhere, returns are to our office in Essex, UK. A rough estimate of how much shipping will cost you, for a UK to UK return would be around £20. For other locations, please feel free to ask us for a return shipping cost estimate.
