Up for buy it now is an unmodified used 49 key IBM Model M keyboard that includes a custom 6ft SDL to USB Soarer's Converter Cable. They HAVE NOT been cleaned and most have quite a bit of dust/dirt that will come off easily with isopropyl alcohol.  All keys have been tested working.  Each lot is for one keyboard shown. These are buckling spring keyboards with removable keycaps and stems and are completely compatible with all other Model M keycaps.   Just like ALL Model M's out there, these keyboards support 2 Key Rollover.  They include a 30 day return period and 90 day warranty.   These can be used with all common computer operating systems like XP, Vista, Win7, Win8, MacOS X, and Linux.  These will ship programmed so that the numberpad will have the standard modern layout and the directional arrow keys will be mapped as well.  The rest of the keys will be unassigned by default.  I've written and linked simple instructions below that show the scan code table for this keyboard so that remapping will be easy.

Besides converting to USB, Soarer's converter also adds the following functions to the keyboard:

Remapping - Assign any key to any other key, including ones that aren't on the keyboard, like media volume controls or the "Apple/Command/Windows" key.

Macros - A single key press can "play back" a series of key presses.  For example, you could set F14 to send Control-Alt-Delete or set one key to represent an entire shortcut like Alt-C for "copy" when doing copying and pasting.  If there's a certain combination move in gaming, you could set one key to perform the entire combination.

Function Layers - Changes the behavior of other keys when the function key is held down.  Think of this like adding extra "Shift" keys to add more functions to existing keys.

IfSelect - Press a key once and it permanently changes the function of any number of keys until that same key is pressed again.  Think of this like "Num Lock" which completely changes what the number pad does.  This is also useful if you are using multiple different operating systems or applications that you want different layouts from time to time.  Pressing one key could change the function of "ALT" to the "Apple/Command/Windows" key.  It also will allow you to have several different layouts programmed for different applications.  You can even program in completely different keyboard layouts like Dvorak or Colemak and toggle between them with a single key press.

For more information on Soarer's Converter, please Google "Soarer's Converter."

I've written some basic instructions for configuring the Soarer's Converter under Windows OS, which is still a work in progress.  If you would like these instructions, please message me after purchase.

Other than the provided documentation, I can't provide a lot of tech support when it comes to programming the converter, so I wouldn't suggest planning using the extra features unless the instructions look like they are doable.  I would definitely recommend reading them before purchase.  No further programming is required if you want to leave the keyboard with the layout shown below in the pictures.

Shipping will be FREE to the USA by USPS or UPS ground depending on location and quantity ordered.   Thanks for looking and please ask any questions that you may have!
