2 Tyvek Secure Passport Protector Sleeve-Blocks RFID Signal

Protect yourself from identity theft. Did you know that since October 2006 all US Passports have a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chip embedded inside them. These chips hold all the data from your passport's information page including your picture in digital format. These RFID chips allow authorities to scan your passport from a distance, making border crossing a little faster. However, if your passport were scanned nefariously, it also makes stealing your identity a whole lot easier.

This Secure Passport Protector sleeves are made of Tyvek (which is an extremely durable, tear resistant and water resistant fiber) on the outside and has a special inner foil lining which blocks the transmission of the RFID signal, preventing scammers from reading the chip inside your passport. This sleeve will hold one passport and is lightweight and thin enough to still allow you to place your passport in a standard passport holder. The Tyvek material is nice that it can also be written or printed on. These are impossible to find in stores!

Note: If you have a credit card sized passport card which allows you to travel between Canada, the US, Mexico and the Carribean, you should also keep that card secure with a similar credit card sized sleeve. Many of your credit cards also have these RFID chips and these smaller sleeves will also work to protect your credit cards. To find the smaller sleeves, just search for "Tyvek RFID"
