The Ten Commandments show up twice in the Old Testament of the Bible, in the book of Exodus and again in the book of Deuteronomy. In Exodus, the story of the Ten Commandments describes how God inscribed them on two tablets made of stone and then gave them to Moses on Mount Sinai. In Deuteronomy, God re-tells the Ten Commandments to the younger generation.
The Bar
Obverse: Depicts an image of the Ten Commandments inscribed on stone tablets with the words TEN COMMANDMENTS. The entire image is surrounded by a smooth mirrored surface.
Reverse: Depicts a frosted oval surrounded by a decorative frame and the words ONE OUNCE and .999 FINE SILVER.
