This is a 17mm hex steel allen tool weighs 2 oz. Use it with your wrench or socket to remove the drain plug on most older VW transmissions found on 1999 and older bug bus ghia rabbit jetta golf passat dasher quantum vanagon cabrio, cabriolet truck caddy cabby . Most of them are 19mm long, Hardened tool steel, small versatile, fits multiple tools to convert them to the 17mm allen. If it does not stick out of your socket far enough, put a 17mm nut behind it as it will disappear into a deep socket. Beats carrying a 1 pound allen wrench around. Need to take the fill plug out, slip this into your box ratchet wrench and it fits right up there between the transmission and exhaust pipe. It has been suggested to tape it to your socket, one wrap of tape around should do it.
