~ 1960's Yoshino Toys KY Japan Battery Operated Space Frontier Tin Plate Toy ~

A circa 1960’s  Space Frontier tin plate toy produced by Yoshino toys KY Japan. 

The 'mystery action' lets the astronaut pop out of the green dome then elevate on a gantry with his huge camera. The front is red plastic whilst the rockets are orange plastic. The main body is lithographically printed tinplate.

It is housed within its original box with its insert.

~ Dimensions ~

The box has a width of 19 inches (48.3 cm), a depth of 5.5 inches (13.9 cm) & a height of 5 inches (12.7 cm).
The rocket has a length of 18 inches (45.7 cm), a width of 4 inches (10.2 cm) & a height of 4.5 inches (11.4 cm).
It weighs 890 kg.

~ Condition ~

The toy is in excellent condition, virtually mint. It is not in good working order; when batteries are inserted the rocket will light up, but will not play any sounds & will not move.

The box has a tear to one flap, some minor wear along the edges and along the top.
