Marblehead Pottery, Marblehead, MA 1904-1936 This wonderful pottery was started as a handicraft program/therapeutic center for the sanitarium that was established in 1904. The pottery’s wares were glazed in soft matte colors on classical shapes. Large bowl is covered on the outside with gray matte glaze with blue speckles. The interior is matte also, with pale blue glaze. Nice addition to any collection. It is in great shape and measures 7 1/2" wide x 3 1/2" tall. Incised on bottom with Marblehead's logo, a sailing ship with M on the left side and P on the right. See our other Marblehead listings.
