No man stands so tall as when he stoops to help a child."

Abraham Lincoln.

How does the “quote” above apply to the selling of artwork done by adult felons; serving life terms, in a Maximum security prison such as Salinas Valley State Penitentiary at Soledad, California; qualify as “helping a child”?

The ‘Artists’, in this case, are incarcerated convicts and many began their incarceration as children; Dwight Abbott being one of them.

Dwight is an award winning author of the duo-logy “The Other Side of the Moon”.

Volume 1; “I Cried, You Didn’t Listen” and Volume 2 “CONSEQUENCE”: the aftermath.

I am Danny Abbott, Dwight Abbott’s brother and I believe that it is never too late to lend a helping hand to these ‘grown children’.

With that in mind, I am Partnering with Dwight and his fellow inmates to offer print copies of their artwork on EBay. As you can see these inmates have agreed to give 25% of the proceeds to help others avoid the path they, the inmates, have taken. The money realized will be used by each inmate to buy Wham Whams and Zoo Zoos (candy :-)  ! or what little extras they can obtain.

This offering is for 8x11 plain paper copies only; as a way of introducing folks to the ‘real’ thing. I will send you a plain paper color print of your choice of ONE of the pictured pieces of artwork. You are given permission to reproduce as many copies as you like for personal use and/or free distribution; however, you are NOT TO SELL copies. You are on your honor, as the inmates trust you like you trust them!
