These are absolutely gorgeous and are an older pair of French sconces of excellent quality. They each have a cast metal cherub or putti in different poses - boy and girl. They have the most precious pretty faces and are just exquisite. Each sconce has one light and uses standard base size light bulb ( not incl.). Each sconce is adorned with dripping crystal prisms on the bobeches. They have such an elegant look! They have the original old creamy white off -beige paint with light touches of gold and black, and are a little chippy and peely for a perfect time worn patina. made from a cast metal- spelter like heavy type or some other
cast metal with very detailed casting.
They have long cords with plugs and switches in line and are ready to hang and plug in your outlet or they can be installed as a wall fixtures - best done by specialist. On the backs are the original foundry marks Made in France on the metal. As you see, they are in working order but as always it's advised having all vintage lighting checked out by a qualified person before using. These are very special statement making electrified wall sconces for your home. Great in any Victorian, antique, shabby chic, romantic cottage or French country home. The sale is for a pair as shown.
