ALOE VERA

Known and used by Roman armies and by natives of Mexico and the southern United States, it was used for healing, protecting the skin from the effects of the sun and for treating irritated skin. Aloe vera gel contains phospholipids, oligoelements,amino acids, vitamin B, squalene and saponins.

SOY

Plant with a stiff, hairy stem; its flowers are white or purplish and its fruit is a pod enclosing seeds of different colours. Soya is rich in carbohydrates, proteins, enzymes, fatty acids, phenols, flavonoids, phenolic compounds and mineral salts.

In cosmetics it is appreciated for its nourishing, toning, anti-aging and skin conditioning properties.

SUNFLOWER

Plant with a herbaceous stem, heart-shaped leaves and large, yellow flower heads. It contains flavonglucosides, anthocyaninic glucosides, xanthophyll, choline, betaine, sapogenin and chlorogenic acid.

In cosmetics, sunflower seed extract is used as it is rich in polyphenols, to protect the colour of natural and dyed hair against the aggression of ultraviolet rays and free radicals.

WHEAT

Forms part of the graminae family and is characterised by its long, dark green stem, the same colour as the leaves. It has ears of differing density depending on the variety. Its basic ingredients are fatty acids, phospholipids, sterols, tocopherol and pro-vitamin A.

In cosmetics it is used for itsvitamin, emollient and re-greasing properties, as well as its qualities in restructuring the keratin of the hair and as an anti-oxidant.
