~ Large Doulton Flambe Vase With Shepherd And Sheep Landscape By C B Hopkins ~

A beautiful large bulbous Doulton vase with flambé glazed decoration by the artist Charles Beresford Hopkins.
The vase is beautifully hand painted with a cloaked shepherd, sheep dog and flock of sheep scene in a continuous landscape at sunset. It is signed to the lower right of the sheep dog.
The rim and base have a dark green, almost black, graduated glaze.
The base has impressed marks of ‘Doulton’ and ‘Ivory’.
There is a stamp for the shape number, it is a little unclear but may read 'D740'. It is also lightly signed there as well.
~ Dimensions ~
The vase has a diameter of approximately 6 inches (15cm) and a height of 12 inches (30.5cm).
It weighs 2.25 Kg. 
~ Condition ~
There is crazing to the glaze but overall the vase is in very nice condition with no damage.
