When you ride the Mt Washington Cog Train, you're in for a treat. The Cog railroad train will carry you above the clouds to the top of the highest peak in the Northeast, Mt Washington, New Hampshire. The first forty years of the Cog Railroad's operation it had wood-fired boilers which powered the train to the 6,288-foot summit of Mt. Washington.  Around 1910, coal was introduced as depicted in my rendering of Mount Washington's Cog Railway train. So, climb up to the top of Mount Washington on the world's first mountain climbing Cog Railway train! Or do the hard way and hike up to the top, the good news is Mt. Washington is the highest of AMC's four thousand footers.
