Description: Red cloth binding with beveled edges and vellum spine. Gilt design on cover and lettering on spine. Gilt top edge. Illustrated frontis and title pages and others throughout.

Condition: Very good+ Corners and edges are bumped and covers are rubbed and soiled. Spine seems discolored, but that might just be what vellum does. Red binding is loosening where it was glued over the vellum. Bookstore pencil note on free endpaper, otherwise the book is clean and tight. Use the zoom feature on the photo to see detail.

This book is from a three generation family collection that started in the late 1800's. There were several books collected in England while one of them was a student or lived there. There are all subjects, author signed, etc. I hope to get through several of the 1500 I have during the next weeks.
