This aluminum and Ash Hardwood canoe motor mount is available for your consideration and the shipping is free within the United States!  The top crossbar is 3/8" thick polished aluminum thats 3" wide. The greater surface contact with the gunwales helps control motor vibration to give you what you want ... a solid, stable ride. The mounting block is 1 7/8" thick Ash. Ash is great looking, is super tough and won't suffer severe denting when cranking down hard on the mounting bolts. The ash block is a natural finish and coated with exterior acrylic urethane for weather and water protection. The mounting block is angled so your motor can always sit perpendicular in the water if you need it.  The block is firmly secured with carriage bolts, lock washers and hex nuts.  The block/crossbar assembly allows for changing to port or starboard operation. This a heavy duty, quality mount that won't let you down. The design has been well tested and is used on a regular basis. Yes,,, we fish....and we also know what its like sometimes........ Its not always deep, calm water & easy currents... its also stumps, logs, thick weed beds, muddy bottoms, rocky bottoms just to name a few.....This mount hangs in there.
