This is an original folded letter that was taken to the post office by the sender and mailed.  ONE of the reasons it is collectible is because of the fact that  the local postmaster applied postal markings considered appropriate for the letter's journey.  In addition to being collectable becasue of the content of the letter, or the writer, or the addressee, it is a collectable item of postal history.

Two page letter datelined "15 Feb/53 Jay St. Green Point, N. York."

The outside is toned along a line where a ribbon once was that held a group of letters together.  This is NOT a tape or other type of stain.

The letter is addressed to "Mr. Joseph Whitehall, Mitchellsville near Town of Wheeler, Steuben Co. N. York."

The letter is signed at the bottom of page two, "Elizbt. M. Wood."

This is a fantastic New York item.

Content discusses a death in Little Rock.  Super duper Kings County town

I have only produced page one of the letter in the photographs.  I do not wish the entire letter's content to enter the public domain.  The ultimate content of this letter will belong to the buyer of the item.

This item is from the collection of Calvet Hahn and is accompanied by his original album notes.  Mr. Hahn's collection is very fresh to the market.  Most of his items have not been offered for sale for 30-40 years.  Many of the items are "listing" and/or "recording" items according to his album notes.
