Leather Needles (K4): Ideal for genuine leather. The chisel point will penetrate difficult to sew projects. Do not use with ultra suede, textiles or vinyl.

How to use Add to Cart Feature.

All Klasse needles are stamped with the needle type and size on the curved side of the needle shank with metric and imperial sizes followed by the relevant needle mark codes(K0, K1, K2, K3 etc...).

Choosing the correct needle:-
Stitch quality is dependent on using the correct needle for your thread, fabric and the type of machine sewing you are using for your project. When the wrong needle is used you may get stitching that puckers, skips or thread may break.

1. Fabric.
Consider fabric weight, thickness, weave type (woven or knit), weave density (close weave or loose weave) and composition (natural fibre or synthetic).

2. Thread.
Consider matching your thread composition to your fabric (polyester threads for synthetics, cotton for cotton fabrics etc) and your sewing purpose (seams, hems, topstitching, quilting, machine embroidery etc)

3. Needle Style.
If your project or thread is specialised, choose your needle based on that rather than fabric type, eg. embroidery, quilting and twin needle work have a specific needle while there is a specific thread for topstitching which requires a certain needle type.
If your project involves general sewing or overlocking, base your needle choice on the characteristics of the fabric you are sewing with. For instance are you working with woven fabrics (heavy or light, denim jeans), leather, or stretch fabric?

4. Needle Size.
When you have selected the type of needle you must also choose the size (width) of needle.

Replace Needles.
Machine needles should be replaced after a maximum sewing time of 8 hours. Replace needles more frequently when sewing synthetic fabric, appliques or machine embroidery. This will avoid skipped stitches, fabric pulls and frayed threads.

Breaking Needles.
Machine needles are designed to break for the protection of the sewing machine hook mechanism. If a needle bends - do not sew with it. When a machine needle breaks, it is a warning to check the following:-

  • Is the needle type and size correct for the fabric?
  • Is the thread too thick or unsuitable for the needle size and application?
  • Is the upper thread feeding freely?
  • Are the thread tensions set too tight?
  • Does the machine need cleaning/oiling?
  • Is the correct presser foot fitted?
  • Is the correct sewing technique being used?
  • Is the fabric being pulled, pushed or dragged during sewing?
  • Twin needles, triple needles and other specialty needles can break due to excessive heat build up. To avoid breakage reduce speeds and avoid prolonged useage.

ALL of our items are shipped with insurance and tracking, for peace of mind at both ends.

All goods with cleared payment will be dispatched quickly, normally within 3 business days. We offer Express postage if you require your item quicker. Please contact us and we will gladly assist you with any concerns.

We ship via Australia Post and deliver to your choice of addresses including street addresses, workplaces and Post Office Boxes. Please ensure that your shipping details are correct at the time of checkout.

All PARCEL items are sent signature required, you can request safe drop via Australia Posts tracking link.

Some small items may be sent by Tracked Insured Envelope post, and is reflected by the shipping cost.

Unclaimed Parcels and incorrectly supplied addressed returns.
Parcels that come back to us that have been incorrectly addressed or unclaimed by the receiver will attract a return charge of $12 and we will also have to recharge another postage charge on top to resend it. Australia Post charge us these fees so please keep a track of your parcels.

Whilst we dispatch quickly, Delivery time will vary depending on your location and should be no more than 2-10 working days within Australia. Please be aware that Australia Post does not deliver on weekends and public holidays. If your package is taking longer than normal to arrive, please contact us via eBay Messages and we will open a case with Australia Post to locate your item.

Most of our parcels are shipped via Insured Parcel Post signature required, other than small items (see below) which supplies us with a tracking number, which will be attached to your purchase history for the item/s. You can also track the status of your item by clicking on the tracking number supplied in your order details, once your item has been shipped, this should take you directly to the Australia Post website were the details will be available. Please note that sometimes it can take 24-48 hours for details to appear due to Australia Post's system. IF you wish your item left without signature, please respond to the email sent from Australia Post, where you can give them authority to leave the parcel.

For all of our items, we COMBINE postage by weight within the checkout process (Cart). If unsure, you can request a combined total from the cart (Just above the right of the first item listed in your cart). PLEASE do not request a combined postage discount AFTER payment, as eBay prohibits us from combining orders that have been paid separately. Also Please Note:- Volume discounts only apply if using the eBay Cart, this is an eBay thing.

Small items
A few small items are sent by letter post without tracking (low cost postage for the buyer - if it does not show a postage cost, it is most likely sent this way). If you want tracked postage on these items, you must select parcel post or Registered Post at checkout, otherwise you agree that the articles are posted out at buyers risk. IF YOU want TRACKED Postage, there are options for both tracked post and express post during checkout.

International Deliveries

International orders are shipped via Australia Post Tracked, Insured (Signature required) services, Whilst these services are reasonably quick, they do rely on the postal services in your country as well.

Any taxes, customs duties or local charges that may occur from your local customs services are payable by you, the buyer.

If you have any questions about international delivery, please contact us via eBay Messages and we will do our best to make sure you’re happy.

 

We understand that you might need to return something to us for a number of reasons.  Please contact us via eBay Messages before sending anything back, as all returns will require a Return Authority Number.

Items must be returned to us via tracked postage or courier.  Without a verifiable tracking number, you accept full risk of the item not reaching us.  Returns not received by us will not qualify for replacement or refund.

  1. You changed your mind
    • We offer a 30 day return policy for change of mind.  That means if you have changed your mind, or are not satisfied with your purchase, you are welcome to return it to us up to 30 days after you received it for your choice of exchange or full refund, excluding original delivery costs and re-stocking fee of 3%.
    • All returned items must be in brand new, unused condition, in their original shipped packaging, and include all parts and accessories.  Where returned items are not received by us in brand new condition, we will return them to you once you pay us the cost of redelivery to do so.
    • Return shipping costs are non-refundable.

 

  1. The item arrived damaged or missing parts
    • All orders are checked and leave our warehouse in brand new, undamaged condition.  In the rare case that your item arrives damaged or is missing parts, we will gladly replace it for you (or if stocks are exhausted, refund you in full) and reimburse you for any return shipping costs you incur to return the item to us.  Please contact us  via eBay Messages to obtain a Return Authority Number before returning the item.
    • All claims for damaged items must be made within 2 business days of receiving your order.  It is important that you open your order as soon as you get it, and notify us immediately if there is any damage.
    • Please take photographs of any damage, including damage to shipping satchel/boxes, and send them to us via eBay Messages before requesting a Return Authority Number and sending the item back, as we need to report damage to our insurer, delivery courier and warehouse.

 

  1. The item is faulty
    • Your purchase automatically comes with protections under Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. All of our new products are fully backed by manufacturer warranty.
    • Should your product be faulty, please contact us via eBay Messages so we can guide you through the correct process for having the fault rectified under the manufacturer warranty.  Depending on the manufacturer’s warranty terms and requirements, we will either repair or replace it for you (or if stocks are exhausted, refund you excluding original delivery costs).
