HID bulbs globes H1 H3 H3C H4 H7 H9 H11 HB3 9005 HB4 9006 D1S D3S D2R D2S
This is a new pair of HID Bulbs. That's 2 x bulbs and you get to choose the type and colour right here.
You get to choose the style, colour and watts from the drop down boxes above...

New improved stock with heat proof non melting bases.

  • The bases are not plastic. Plastic can melt or break when they get brittle. Depending upon which globe you choose it has either metal, ceramic or a special high density silicon mounting base.
  • The wires are silicon coated to better insulate 23,000 volts from the ballasts (Just like spark plug leads)
  • The wires at the base are covered by a silicon/rubber boot and not cheap heat shrink. Makes the back of the globe flexible and fits those tighter lights.
  • The glass is precision cut and UV protecting for brighter light and eliminates fading of headlight lenses.
  • The glass stalks are seated in ceramic
  • The best grade Xenon gas is used in the globes
  • Each globe is tested by the factory
In our quest to source the best globes we also eliminated almost all warranty claims that are globe related. We pay extra for these and the pay off is we dont get the problems of flickering or dead globes.

Ideally we have listed these so people can buy spare globes or pick up replacements for kits out of warranty even from other suppliers or maybe try some new colours. Perhaps you already have a HID kit but are changing lights or cars and need different globes to suit the new lights.

You can't just plug these into a light and expect them to work. Being HID the globes each need a ballast. The ballast transforms the 12v or 24v into 23000 volts. This is needed to get a good spark to cross a field of xenon gas and that creates the light.  So the light comes from electricity passing through a gas. No fragile parts like incandescent which is a thin wire glowing red hot. These have a live expectancy of 20,000 hours and remember that's night driving so they will out live you - not just the car.

These are totally waterproof and will work totally submerged in water.

Note it is often hard to marry identical colours and so we sell them in matching pairs as matched up from the factory. For this reason we dont sell them singularly.

When you select a bulb it is important that it can handle the temperature brought upon it by your ballasts. All of our 35w 55w and 70w bulbs can handle the heat generated by a 70w ballast so they are good with 35w and 55w ballasts as well. But dont expect a 70w bulb to handle a 100w or 120w ballast. Note also it is your ballast that punches out the watts and brightness - the HID globe is just specked up to manage that sort of heat. (Not like conventional incandescent bulbs). So if you already have a HID kit and want brighter - then it's not a matter of buying brighter bulbs but instead buying higher watt ballasts - and then make sure your old bulbs can handle the higher output ballasts.

Our HID globes generate just 15% more heat than a conventional incandescent bulb of the same watts. So with a 55w ballast this HID bulb generates less heat than a conventional 65w bulb (which is normal high beam for most cars) and so there is no fading or problems with lights and even plastic headlights.
If you are looking at H4 bulbs - ours have been made to handle up to 120 watts. They have an alloy body, have stainless steel components internally and the glass tube is seated in ceramic. But note we also had to make a special extra heavy duty loom for hi/lo H4 at 100w or 120w. Our prototype has passed testing (took a while to get it right) and the factory is preparing tooling and about to commence production of the extra heavy duty loom. It's not ready as yet and no one else has one. So although we can sell you a H4 bulb that can handle 100w and 120w ballasts you will need to build your own loom for now.
Did you know H3 and H3C have the same mounting base but H3C is about 6mm shorter than H3 and fits small lights like fog lights?
Also D2S and D2R are very similar and so D2C was invented to handle both. Then along came D2H which is same as D2C (so it does both D2R and D2S) but it has the conventional HID wire tails and no longer needs to complicated mounting base. D2H is a nice convenient alternative to all of D2C, D2R and D2S
Here's some more on our H4 globes - They are exclusive to us - we identified where the normal H4 HID globes were failing and addressed these with the factory. The following improvements were made ...
  • Internal improvements to connections, gases and materials.
  • Can only be clicked together just 1 way - eliminates being mounted upside down causing light scatter in low beam
  • The lock in is a lot more secure. The cheaper globes would wriggle loose and the globe stalk would fall out while driving and set fire to the rubber boot or anything combustible it comes into contact with - that was primarily the start of our quest for the ultimate HID globe.
  • The body is not plastic but alloy and the globe base is seated in ceramic. Means it can tolerate much higher temperatures and not melt. Cheaper globes tended to melt with 70w ballasts. These are working great with 100w and 120w ballasts.
  • 100% waterproof. This will work completely submerged under water.
  • The alloy body is cnc machined aluminium and will not rust or corrode. It will not crack, split or fatigue like the plastic ones once subjected to heat.
  • Internal springs and solenoid workings are made from stainless steel and of course the windings are copper.
We have been asked to supply these to shops and large auto parts chains but there's no margin or prompt payers among them so we just sell them here on ebay.

These globes would suit every single beam HID kit I have ever sold. The Globe to Ballast plugs are universal with all HID kits so no matter who you bought your kit from these globes will work.

If you are after H9 globes then also consider our own H9 Adaptors. These enable you to plug your ballasts directly into your car's original H9 headlight socket....

Everything I sell comes with a 12 month warranty. No need even to keep your proof of purchase. When you pay for your purchase we have set up ebay to automatically leave your positive feedback. We can see from the feedback we left you that you bought our item from us and so you are covered by warranty and get our full after sales support. But did you know that after selling container loads of HID kits the total of all claims is tiny and getting even fewer as we get better quality. It pays to buy quality. What's the point replacing rubbish with more rubbish. You save nothing when you end up throwing those cheap kits out. Afterall these are your lights we are talking about - they have to be great, that's all there is to it.
We send free post (aus post) with tracking anywhere in Aus and there is a yellow express post bag option when you pay.
Watch out for others - they say they are in Sydney and sent Aus Post but 3 weeks later they eventually rock up from China. That's not us. These are located in Melbourne, they are in stock and ready to send straight away.

JTX Lighting offer the following solutions ...
  • Halogen,
  • LED
  • HID

Here's an explanation for each... Halogen is incandescent meaning power runs through a very fine wire which glows hot. It is surrounded by Halogen gas which not only contains no oxygen so there can be no rusting but Halogen shines brightly when heated. LED (Light Emitting Diode) has come ahead in leaps and bounds and offers very bright light especially up close to the vehicle. The light source is over a larger area and so it spreads wide to the delight of most drivers but much of it is not in the focal point of the light and so doesn't travel great distance. HID (High Intensity Discharge) trumps everything with exceptional brightness and very long range. The light output of HID is amazing. HID works by passing a constant spark or arc of electricity across a field of Xenon gas. To achieve such an arc the volts are increased by ballasts which transform 12v or 24v to 23,000 volts. By it's very nature power at those volts wants to short out and so it is imporatnt to stick with quality brands such as JTX when using HID to maintain reliability.
