This is a brand new pair of Hi Beam head light inserts and our premium 35w H1 HID kit.

These are fabulous for seeing the edge of the road as well as far ahead.

The size is 5 3/4" (143mm) round and they suit all 5 3/4" applications. Note some lights are 146mm and that can make them slightly too big for some cars

They are a direct replacement of your normal 5 3/4" round sealed or semi sealed head lights.

Fitting is dead easy. Remove the outer metal retainer (3 screws) and the light falls forward into your hands. Re-position the new light and screw in the retainer and you are done. There is no need to remove the grill or headlight surrounds. The HID ballasts have a power and an earth requirement same as any globe. These wires simply plug into your headlight sockets. No need to upgrade wires, after all they just draw 35w.

These are excellent all rounder lights. The reflector is made of glass finish sheet metal and is shaped to project light as far forward as possible. The flat glass lens is rippled vertically so as to disperse light sideways. They are suited to our Australian Right Hand Drive vehicles and they are E rated and DOT approved and legal.

The lights have a rubber boot to keep dust and water out - but the HID kit will run under water anyway.

In this kit, you get

  • 2 x 5 3/4" Round Glass Semi Sealed High Beam Head Lights
  • 2 x Premium H1 HID Globes
  • 2 x 35W 12V Digital Ballasts
  • 2 x Ballast mounting kits

You don't need anything else - it is totally complete, easy to fit and ready for insane super bright lights.

These are our new AC F5 (F series) ballasts. They heat up in a few split seconds and their output is AC, not DC. This is softer Sine Wave delivery of power so the globes are not flickering (the eye can't see it) but it also means much longer globe life. Our HID globes with the F series ballasts are rated at 20,000 hours of operation - assume that's night driving at an average of 60 kph = 1,200,000 klm and that's just in the dark with the lights on. So they will easily outlive the car.

The inside of the ballast is filled with a resin so if any water did manage to get in, it can't do any harm.

Voltage ...  The globes work on both 12 and 24V. But the wiring harness and ballasts are either 12V or 24V. As almost all my sales are 12V I shall assume you need 12V. If by chance you need 24V then pls send me an ebay message when you buy and let me know you need 24V. No price difference. I have both in stock.

Colour ...  It is a wives' tale that one colour is brighter than another. As it happens, the more yellow the colour is, the better definition of colours is detected. So a tree looks green, a rock looks brown and a kangaroo looks grey. The more blue the colour is, the more everything looks the one colour (grey) making it harder to spot skippy. Nobody wants yellow HID but my point is don't go too blue just to be cool and so my recommendation is 4300K as my standard colour and unless I hear from you I will send you 4300K. But if you want 6000K or 8000K then I can supply that instead for no additional charge. Just send me an ebay message upon purchase.

HID lights work by passing electricity through xenon gas. There is no fragile element. To blow a globe you have to physically break it.

We have had such a good run with the quality of our HID kits we are now extending our warranties to 2 years. We can see from your feedback we automatically leave you when you pay that you are covered and so no need to even come up with proof of purchase. Being based here in Melbourne it's a fast easy process.

We also have product liability insurance in the unlikely event our gear causes damage to your vehicle. It's never happened but it's piece of mind. If you are tempted to save a dollar from another seller be sure to ensure that the unit is not of lesser quality and that the seller can look after you if need be.

I am in Melbourne and I stand by my 12 month warranty. When I was setting up I went through about 20 suppliers in China who all offered me a warranty but I found these to be useless. What's the point replacing rubbish with more rubbish - that didn't solve my problems. I have also purchased products from my opposition sellers to stay in touch - to begin with the deliveries seemed to take for ever and when I threw them on the multi-meter I found in most cases the amps drawn indicated much less watts than stated.  One never fired up and the warranty process took about 3 weeks. We also found colours often didnt match and most caused static on the radio in the workshop. Remember, a cheap kit is not cheap once you throw it out. Face it - if you did a ballast, can you see yourself posting it back to Hong Kong? No! But I'm only in Melbourne and I'm here to look after you.

I stock these kits and they are ready to send to you. There is an express post option when you pay.
