Janome CoverPro Binder Instructions

This is a New "A"  STYLE COLLARETTE ADJUSTABLE COVERSTITCH BINDER with a CUT SIZE of 1-1/4" (32 mm) and a FINISH SIZE of 7/16" (11 mm) for the JANOME COVERPRO Models 900 & 1000. Please note that the FINISH SIZE is ADJUSTABLE from 3/8" (9.5 mm) to 1/2" (13 mm).

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS BINDER  REQUIRES (AS ALL BINDERS FOR THE JANOME COVERPRO REQUIRE) THE USE OF THE METAL BASE ATTACHMENT PLATE, WHICH IS SOLD SEPARATELY. THIS PLATE SOMETIMES IS PACKAGED WITH THE MACHINE AS ORIGINALLY PURCHASED.

ADDITIONALLY, FOR MORE EFFICIENT BINDING, WE RECOMMEND THE USE OF THE "SNAP-ON" PRESSER FOOT FOR BINDERS, WHICH IS SOLD SEPARATELY. THIS FOOT SOMETIMES IS PACKAGED WITH THE MACHINE AS ORIGINALLY PURCHASED.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE METAL BASE ATTACHMENT PLATE AND CONSIDER THE "SNAP-ON" PRESSER FOOT FOR BINDERS IF THIS IS YOUR INITIAL BINDER PURCHASE.

 

The CUT SIZE of the bias/tape/binding material BEFORE entering the binder is  1-1/4" (32 mm).   The FINISH SIZE of the bias/tape/binding material AFTER folding in Half and Underfolding the top is  7/16" (11 mm). Please note that the FINISH SIZE is ADJUSTABLE from 3/8" (9.5 mm) to 1/2" (13 mm).

The Tape is folded TWICE on the TOP (Clean Finish) and NOT FOLDED on the BOTTOM (Raw Finish). This is the   "A"  STYLE   standard "Collarette" Binder used on all types of T-shirts and Tops, especially Knitwear. There are two adjustable edge guides screwed into the top of this binder. One sliding guide sets the top edge of the fabric and the other sliding guide sets the bottom edge of the fabric giving the operator total control over the configuration of the binding. This binder sets perfectly-folded bias/tape/binding material onto the Collars, Armholes, and Bottoms of Knit Tops.
