The Behringer B615D is a super-powerful 2-way 1500-watt active loudspeaker that delivers epic sound as a front-of-house main, or as a powerful personal monitor. With bigger and better speakers than the popular Behringer B215D and B212D systems, and way more room-shaking power, the B615D delivers an even greater sonic experience than its younger siblings.
Cool Running with Hot Output
The Behringer B615Ds employ a Class-D amplifier design for cooler-running, more efficient power usage than an AB system. Their active electronics deliver a sound that remains clear and undistorted even at maximum volume -- very useful when you're dealing with 1500 watts! They're also relatively light for their wattage, at just over 55 pounds a piece, and are highly durable.
Standard Ins and Outs
The Behringer B615D has a single 1/4-inch input and a single XLR female input, to connect with your mixer or any other balanced source. A balanced male XLR Link Output jack allows you to connect other monitors in series. A pad knob gives you more relative force when you need it, and lets you pull back when you don't. The B615D's Ultra-Low Noise (ULN) Mic/Line input has its own dedicated 2-band EQ (bass/treble).
Custom-Designed Transducers
The 15-inch long-excursion woofer cone and 1.75-inch aluminum-diaphragm compression driver are proprietary Behringer designs, built specifically for the B615D. They are built from scratch along with the rest of the componentry. Even the voice coils, backplates, and cone paper are manufactured in-house, creating a speaker that shines across its whole dynamic range. Its reproduction of sound is crystal-clear, and shines best when you use the 2-band EQ to fine tune the way your B615Ds sound in different spaces, both indoors and outdoors.
With A Mind of Its Own
The B615D has an integrated built-in active high-pass filter that helps cut down on distortion that can damage speakers when you're pumping out extreme volumes. Its active electronics also ensure that the contours of your midrange frequencies stay smooth and balanced against the sparkling highs and punchy bass that the B615D delivers.
