Here we have a beautiful, brand new Mantua wooden ship kit: "Endeavour" (774)

This historic ship was originally built as a collier in Whitby, and was refitted by the Royal Navy in 1768. The works included the addition of a further deck to provide cabin accommodation. She was then re-launched under her new name "Endeavour" and went on to become famous as Captain Cook's ship in his scientific journey of discovery.

This is a plank-on-bulkhead kit, featuring lost wax brass castings, walnut or lime planking, wooden masts and spars, brass and walnut fittings, etched brass details, rigging cord, and a silk flag. All sheet ply sections are laser cut for museum quality accuracy.

At Ages of Sail, our model kits are always of the highest quality available, with laser-cut parts and ornamentation made from the finest materials for an authentic look. This brand new kit comes with detailed English instructions, though the "Endeavour" is best for intermediate to advanced builders!
