About the Power Supply:
The HP "DPS-1200FB A" is a small foot print, high
efficiency, 12 Volt Enterprise Server switching power supply (1.5″ x 7.75″ x 3 1/2″ and
weighing in at around two pounds each with a capability to supply 900W (75A at
12V) on 110V. Now THAT’S crazy!). It operates on 110
or 220 volts, to provide 900 watts or 1200 Watts respectively. This supply
offers a high quality and inexpensive way to power devices requiring 12 volt
power such as Bitcoin mining equipment and electronics projects. This interface board is intended for use with HP brand power supplies model
number 'DPS-1200FB A'. You can
typically buy this supply used for $15 - $30 here on eBay, on Amazon, and from
many other sources.

CAUTION: Before

ensure it is disconnected from the supply. Before attaching the
interface board to the supply, make sure the switch is in the OFF
position and
the supply is disconnected from power (un-plugged). It is important to
unplug the supply, then the interface board before working on it to
avoid causing a short which could
damage the supply or cause injury. The supply and interface board must be operated on a non-conductive surface to prevent the possibility of causing a short. Full instructions, warnings, and limitations, are provided with each interface board.
Interface Board Specifications:
The terminal blocks used are identical to the ones used on the DPS-1200 MEGA, a tried and true design. These connectors are standard 6-pin female PCIe connectors that can be found on most motherboards, Power Supplies, or graphics cards. That means you can use a standard 6-pin PCIe male cable to connect to your equipment. We carry these cables, but they can be found many places on the net. All of this was designed for quick connection and disconnection.
The interface board
was designed and assembled in the US; and parts were sourced from US
suppliers
when possible. Each board is tested on a real DPS-1200FB A under full
load, for
quality control before it is shipped to you. I would expect nothing
less, so I
give nothing less!
The board has 3 main switches and indicators:
- SWITCH 1 - BUTT SIMPLE: ON/OFF
- Yellow/Amber LED - STDBY
- Green LED - Power Supply ON
