ABOUT THE AUTHORS:
The FWD Racing Guide is co-authored by father-son duo,
Michael W. Ogren and Michael S. Ogren. Between both race car drivers, there is
over 40 years of track experience poured into this manual; their experience
includes road racing, oval track racing, and ice racing.
Michael W. Ogren is the Founder and Chief Engineer of
Protech Racing Services. His accolades
include autocross class wins, stock car and ice racing championships, and lap
time records at Sebring International Raceway. His expertise has been in data
analysis and low speed aerodynamics including a fully designed, built, and
flown tandem wing Ultralight airplane.
Michael's thousands of miles as a "Performance Driving School"
instructor has led to many race coaching, car setup, and crew chief
opportunities. His current endeavors include Volkswagen ITB Class car rentals and
leading the crew for his son's annual SCCA season in a Volkswagen Scirocco.
Michael currently resides with his wife in Spring Hill, Florida.
Michael S. Ogren is currently a Dynamic Performance Engineer
at Nissan's North American Technical Center. While he credits most of his
success to his father, his accomplishments include a fifth place finish at the
2015 SCCA Runoffs in the H Production class, an SCCA Major Win at Watkins Glen
Raceway, and being selected as a finalist for The Motorsport Agency Nissan
Micra Cup Driver Search competition. Michael is newly married and lives in
Northville, Michigan.
