In response to an overwhelming number of requests, we've finally had these cables exclusively manufactured for us by one of our manufacturers. The cable will allow you to connect a standard 3 pin fan into your Dell motherboard. *Be aware that on some Dell machines you may still encounter fan errors upon booting up, depending on what models you have and what fan you choose to use. This obviously makes it impossible to do remote booting in these circumstances. There are ways around it, according to some of our customers who have had positive results changing settings in their bios (power management settings: low power mode to "off"; suspend mode to "s1". Also error halt to" no errors".) That's the extent of my knowledge on the subject, I don't know what fans or what models you may experience this with, just sayin'. Also, be aware that some Dell fans have the wire order different, and you can fry the fan --or worse yet your motherboard-- if you don't have the wires in the same order as on your old fan. The wires on this adapter are set the way most Dell fans are set, but double check before you install it. The wires can be easily reset, if you need advice on how to do this, just email me.
