We return to Stamford Bridge today after a tough Champions League game here on Wednesday night.

We faced strong opposition, but we weren’t completely happy with how we played for much of the game, because we felt we lost our style of football and our way.

But, in the end, my players showed great commitment to keep going after Roma scored their third goal to score the equaliser. This was very encouraging, and we now have seven points from our first three games. We are top of the group, and we can go into the second half of the group stage with a positive feeling.
Now we need to show our spirit and our character as we approach a very important Premier League match this afternoon. Watford are directly above us in the table and we know we will have to give our best and to fight to get a win today. We also want to respond to our last league result in the best way and to turn things around with a good performance.

This is a very busy period of the season, and we have a lot of matches, but I have a group of players here with a great mentality for this situation – they have a fantastic will to win, they are prepared to work hard and they give a great effort every time they go onto the pitch.

We have a different schedule this season because we returned to the Champions League, but at a club like this it is normal to challenge in four competitions and it is exciting to be involved in important games every few days.
