As you can see in the photos, it was a working computer up until I removed the SSD.  

All it needs is a new HD or an SSD. 

Has 4 GB of memory (not 8 as in the picture). 

Go to Best Buy, but an SSD , insert it and if you have a bootable OS you are good to go. 

The country/region is Japanese (where I bought it), hence the Japanese keyboard, but no issues with using English or any other language. 

Keyboard does not fully light up, and some buttons kind of stick, but again it works. 

It is old and beat up a bit (see pics), but if you do not use El Capitan and stick to Lion you will have no problems.
