This is a nice vintage rimmed sweet dish, which was made in England by Royal Doulton in the Shakespearian characters series, and the pattern is Shylock, number D3596.  It measures 4.5cm high x 16.5cm across the rim, and is in very nice condition: Apart from a minute dot of glaze wear underneath the rim, there is no damage at all, and hardly any sign of wear, so very well preserved. This would make a lovely addition to any set.
