Bereit zur Keimung!
Aus meinem eigenen Samenvorrat zur Anzucht von Bäumen.
Die Samen keimen zuverlässig und gut, ich versende nur die schönsten Samen.

Wenn in Amerika verschiedene Pawpaws am Familientisch verkostet werden, ist man sich nur über eines einig,
sie sind köstlich!

So hört man zum Beispiel: ein cremiger Mix zwischen Mango und Banane, Mango, Apfel/Mango, Maracuja, Vanille;
und bei über reifen Früchten: Englische Creme, Karamell Creme.

"Das Beste Eis von allen, ist Pawpaw Eis."

Der Grund, dass die Frucht nicht kommerziell vermarktet werden kann ist, dass sie reif geerntet werden muss für ihr Aroma
und sich auch nicht durch die Welt schicken lässt.

Ein tropischer Frucht-Geschmack, den man bisher nur aus dem eigenen Garten bekommt.

Die Früchte sollten frisch oder als Sorbet gefroren sein um den wahren Geschmack zu erleben.

Asimina triloba - Familie Annonaceae (Annonengewächse)

Namen: Paupau, Indianerbanane, Dreilappige Papau, Pawpaw, Indiana Banana, Hoosier Banana,
Poor Man's Banana, Custard Apple, Prairie Banana

USDA-Klimazone: 5 bis 9 ; das heißt bei -29 bis -4 °C Jahres-Temperatur-Tief gedeiht die Pawpaw

Platzbedarf pro Baum: 2,5 x 2,5m ; Höhe bis zu 6 Meter - durch Beschneidung niedriger halten

Wachstum und Pflege: Mittlere Wachstumsgeschwindigkeit; Mulchen empfohlen

Blütezeit und Bestäubung: April bis Mai; Kreuzbestäubung mit Pinsel (Pollen auf Narbe eines Nachbar-Baumes streichen)
und teilweise durch Insekten z.B. Fliegen

Ernte: ca. 5-6 Jahre nach Aussaat im September/Oktober

Meine Pawpaw Samen schicke ich stets in Sphagnum Moos eingebettet und sicher zu ihrem neuen Zuhause.

Ready for germination, new in stock!

From my own seed stock for breeding.
The seeds germinate reliably and well, I only send the most beautiful seeds.

In America, when different pawpaws are being tasted at the family table, one can only agree on one thing,
they are delicious!

For example: a creamy mix of mango and banana, mango, apple / mango, passion fruit, vanilla;
and over ripe fruits: English cream, caramel cream.

"The best ice cream of all, Pawpaw is ice cream."

The reason that the fruit can not be marketed commercially is that it needs to be harvested in time for its flavor
and can not be sent through the world.

A tropical fruit taste that you only get of your own garden.

The fruits should be fresh or frozen sherbet to experience the true taste.

Space required per tree: 8,2 x 8,2 feet; Height 15 to 30 feet - lower by pruning

 

Growth and Care: Medium growth rate; Mulching recommended

 

Flowering and pollination: April to May; Cross pollination with a brush (swipe pollen on the scar of a neighboring tree)
and with insects f.e. flys

 

Harvest: approx. 5-6 years after sowing in September / October


I always send my pawpaw seeds embedded in peat moss, safe to their new home.
