We offer for sale a Very Rare FRICTION TIN LITHOGRAPH AIR TRANSPORT SERVICE CAR FERRY made by Heinrich Wimmer Nurnber (HWN) in WEST GERMANY circa 1950's.
A quite rare to find tin lithographed airplane in used condition with the front plastic transparent cabin to be missing. The fine litho has nice vivid colours and markings around the tin plates. The twin-engine, dual boom airplane is lithographed with AIR TRANSPORT SERVICE and HWN S-72 markings. Signs of wear, scratches and minor rust around the tin plate.
This fine tin aircraft is likely to have been modeled on the US engineered heavy freight aircraft with the nickname "The Flying Boxcar".
