WEALDEN SMALL ORNITHOPOD DINOSAUR POSITIVE RELIEF NATURAL FOOTCAST

This is a genuine dinosaur natural footcast, - an impression of the foot as the animal transferred its weight into the soft sediments. To think this was made over 130 million years ago by the foot of a roaming dinosaur, these are quite amazing objects. This is a very nice example of a ornithopod dinosaur natural footcast. Private collection. Old find.

Self collected fossil.
I am a full time, entirely self-funded researcher. I have a genuine passion for fossils and am a life-long advocate of responsible collecting, my palaeo work is testament to this. My main interest is fossils related to the English Wealden. Discovering fossils and presenting my discoveries to the general public is my vocation. I am founder of West Parade Fossils, an entirely self-funded private enterprise. Find frequency is low, collecting only the odd specimen in the field these days down to fewer visits to the site due to family commitments and busy research projects, some connected with palaeontology and other non-related subjects which leaves me very little time to collect. Fact: It is notoriously difficult to find fossils at this locality. Any commercial operator would go bust in a couple of months!

Revenue raised from this discovery will allow me to continue working on other research projects. For example, British dinosaur age amber is something I am currently working on. A preliminary search of this amber lead me to discover the world‘s oldest preserved spiders web, dated at around 140 million years old. Discovery of the spiders web in amber was reported in the global media. But this ancient amber has the potential to reveal a vast eco-system of new species including micro-organisms, plants and small animals - insects mostly. However, this will take time and requires proper funding. Being entirely self-funded, offering fossils like this allows me to focus on my studies and continue my passion on a proper full time basis.
