This listing is for a lovely antique metal clarinet produced by King as the American Standard model in Bb. These gold lacquered clarinets were only produced by a few companies (King was one of the major companies as well as Noblet) and have been increasingly difficult to find over the past few years. This lovely instrument was on our top list of instruments to overhaul in the near future but our busy schedule has left us unable to work on it any time soon. This clarinet is in need of all new pads and corks to be a daily player. Original gold lacquered finish is around 85-90% intact with the majority of the wear on the backside. The bell is round with a flat bottom however it does have a few small dings. There is some wear on the barrel but it gives it character! There is ABSOLUTELY NO WEAR on any of the silver plated keywork! We love these gold lacquered clarinets as the it really makes the silver plated keys pop!
