Requires a small amount of assembly, including inserting the batteries (1 AAA battery for the car and 2 AAA batteries for the transmitter).  Batteries are not included.

Please be aware that the instructions, which are inside the bottle, ask you to "rip off the paster" (the plastic wrap around the bottle).  To test my son's car, however, I was able to pull the base from the bottom of the bottle without ripping off the paster, keeping the original look of the bottle intact.

The car is about 3 1/2" long, and the bottle is about 7" long.
