THIS AUCTION IS FOR 1 PAIR OF SCREWS. THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION FOR SUNGLASSES.
This auction is for 1 pair of replacement screws for the WW2 American Optical AN-6531 Aviator sunglasses. The screws are also compatible for the USAAF Flying-D1 aviator sunglasses. The screws are original WW2 new old stock and are 70 years old. When you buy 1 pair of screws for the American Optical sunglasses you will receive 2 screws. One screw is for closing the frame, holding the lens in place. The second screw acts as a hinge, holding the earpiece in place. (The screw that is intended for the earpiece has a gap in the threads so it can act as a hinge as seen in Photographs #4 & #5). This pair of screws will replace 1 side of the frames. You will need to buy 2 pairs for a total of 4 screws to replace all the screws for the AO An-6531's.
The screws for the USAAF Flying-D1sunglasses only require 1 screw for each side of the frames. When you buy 1 pair for the Type D-1's you will receive 2 screws. Only 2 of the frame closing screws are required to replace both sides. They Type D glasses do not need the hinge screws. ( as seen in photograph #6)
All screws are 100% original United States WW2 Government issued and are in new condition. Screws are silver in color and I believe to be made of solid nickel.  Please feel free to ask any questions before buying.
When you buy a pair of screws, Please tell me which type of glasses they are for so I can give you the appropriate screw kit.

*********THE SUNGLASSES IN THE PHOTOS ARE FOR REFERENCE ONLY. THEY ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE AUCTION.********
