Fans seemed to want anything by the Beatles on record in 1964, and toward the end of that remarkable year, Capitol Records responded with this two-LP documentary record, fans screamed and cried and tried to explain themselves, crowds roared, and The Beatles' spoke and tried to explain themselves at press conferences ... the album was noted at the time for the only released music of 1964 At The Hollywood Bowl, which was not released until 1977 ... The album entered the Billboard Top LP's chart on December 12 at number 97. On January 2, 1965, the album reached its peak position at number seven, where it remained for four weeks. The album was certified gold, signifying sales in excess of one million dollars, in its first week; a very respectable showing. This is one of the few American Beatles albums that has yet to be officially reissued on compact disc. (It was never issued in any format but long-playing record.)

CONDITION: The cover: The thick gatefold cover is CLEAN, near "EX" (excellent) , M- insides (Beatles images), "EX" (excellent) back cover ... with only a little careful handling over the years that you hardly notice = nothing much at all...looks like a collection keeper with no split seams, no bends, no writing 

The vinyl: all four sides are clean and glossy VG++ to M- (couple of light hairlines , most all is smooth/clear) == rare for this 53 year old BEATLEMANIA artifact = plays enjoyable...and has 4 clean MONO rainbow Capitol labels.
