Sold as is. This is a private sale of a antique clock with no guarantee or warranty.

Original pre 1900’s Berger & Wuerker (B&W) (Leipzig, Germany) made antique free swinger wall clock in the Art Nouveau style. Flat glass, nice carved accents on the front of the case work. Extravagant designed clock face with fancy brass corners and crown piece. Black color Arabic hour numbers.

This is 1 week running clock with a very well engineered quarter striking movement. The clock is currently running with nice sweet beat. The movement strikes on the 1/4 and full hour with a single strike on a double coiled chime ring. The brass movement is very nice, good quality noted by blued screws, is stamped with the B&W trademark and serial number on the back plate. Fancy tulip design on the pendulum bob. The chime bracket is embossed with the B&W letters.

I personally think that B&W is to be considered with the cream of the German clock manufacturers. Their clock movements and clock cases are always exceptional. They are in the same class with Lenzkirch, Furtwangler (LFS), Gustav Becker or Reusch.

The wood looks to be solid stained and polished hazelnut which was a very popular wood used by many manufacturers in Germany. The upper left crown piece is missing. The are scratches and nicks. Please look carefully at the pictures. The key is placement. If there are any questions, ask me. The dimensions are 28”x15 1/2“Wx7”D.

Even though the clock is running, I am selling the clock as is. I attempt to describe the clock to the best of my abilities. If i have used the manufacturers name, it was solely used to describe the clock.

Ok, since one of my buyers complained massively that I sold them a defective clock, remember this is a Antique clock and is not new. If you are a novice to clocks, you will need to learn the basics of setting up a clock. Possibly even to have to pay someone to do this for you. As with all antique clocks that packed and shipped, You may have to adjust the clock to be in beat or also need to adjust the chiming if it is out of sync.

I bought this clock while living in Germany and I’m now liquidating my collection of 400 Table, wall, Grandfather, Mora clocks from Germany, France, England, Austria and Sweden.
