Want to get that “holy grail“ fender reverb tone. Here is your chance.

Up for sale is this 1963 Fender Reverb Unit chassis. At one time these were considered obsolete after the advent of onboard reverb with the Fender Vibroverb in 1963.  However, those who have done some searching for the "perfect" reverb tone have found their search end with these original brown face reverb units.

A couple things adds to their distinctive sounds.  First, the reverb unit allows you to put the reverb effect at the front of the circuit instead of the back end.  This allows for greater splashy articulation in the attack, and greater three dimensional depth to the sound. Second, the tank itself is powered by several tubes, and acts as both a preamp and a boost to your natural signal. The tone control also allows you to adjust the signal before it goes into the amp, further expanding the sonic varieties.

Recently serviced and in excellent working order. This original chassis was pulled from a cabinet that was painted black. All the parts date to 1963. I will include the other mounting hardware/parts that I have, but I’m not sure if everything is there (I think it is). This listing is for the chassis only: just what is pictured. nothing else is included. No cab, no reverb tank, etc. Just the chassis. Those parts will either be used for other projects or sold separately.

I think this is priced right where it needs to be, so I am firm on the price. Please check my other listings. I have another chassis that has had more work done to it that is a little cheaper.
