Cut perfect circles every time! This professional quality disc cutter features 10 punches sizes 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4, 7/8, 1, 1 1/8, 1 1/4 inch. The tool's holes have been drilled, reamed and honed to make fine, clean cutters. The punches are oil-quenched tool steel that have been drawn for hardness and durability. The base is case-hardened and ground. You can cut soft sheet up to 18ga. The tool measures about 4 3/4 inch round and 3/4 inch thick. Has rubber base with storage for dies over all diameter 6 3/4 inch. Kit includes 10 nylon dies, from 1/8" to 1 1/4" diameter. To create a washer shape, you punch a hole in your sheet metal to the size of the inside diameter of the washer you wish to create. The disc so created is set aside and your sheet metal is moved to the hole in your disc cutter corresponding to the outside diameter of the washer you are making. Then you insert a positioning die, in the same size as the outside diameter of the washer you are making, tapered end first, to center the hole in your sheet metal. Remove the positioning die, replace it with the same size punch, strike the punch, and the result is a washer with a concentric hole.
