This sale is for one pack containing 15 Laboratory grade Cork Stoppers, size 9 of XXXX quality.

XXXX Quality Corks are of a superior grade, have a fine grain and are ideal for use as tight-fitting stoppers. They are excellent when it's necessary to bore holes.

These corks are useful for general laboratory use. And, they are also great for Crafts and Hobby applications. As a former Cub Master, I would be remiss if I did not remind Den Leaders that they can be used for numerous cub scout projects such as making a compass for the scout scientist badge, cork boats, cork astronauts and cork reindeer.

If you plan to use these corks in packaging and/or processing food, I would recommend that you first sanitize them. One way to do this is by soaking them in water and Hydrogen peroxide. This washes away cork dust and cleans or neutralizes contamination if any, from the manufacturing process. Use a ratio of about ¼ cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide to a gallon of water for a period of about ½ hour. (or about ½ tablespoon per cup of water)

They are not suitable for use as Wine Corks.
