This Glass Champagne Coupe Saucer Tower from Rink Drink allows you to create the ultimate show-stopping centrepiece for your wedding party celebration or corporate function event.

With a design rumoured to have been inspired by the voluptuous curves of French King Louis XV's mistress, Madame de Pompadour, the champagne coupe has been a symbol of luxury and lavishness for centuries. With its latest Gatsby-inspired renaissance in full swing, there can be few sights more guaranteed to draw an awestruck glance from your guests than the sight of champagne cascading down your delicately-assembled pyramid of saucers.

This set comprises 35 glasses, enough for a 5-tier tower.

Naturally, there is some assembly required - however, this assembly is far easier than its results would suggest!

Creating your Champagne Tower - A Step-By-Step Guide

Base layer of Rink Drink Champagne Tower

Step One

On a solid, level surface, begin by building your base layer - 5 glasses wide at the back, then 4 in front, then 3, etc.

Each glass should be just about touching those surrounding it to ensure maximum stability.

Step Two

Begin your second layer by placing the stem of the saucer directly over the gap between the four glasses below - you should find that the base overlaps the rim of each of them.

Continue until you have a layer 4 glasses wide along each edge of the triangle.

Step Three

Repeat the above to construct a 3 x 3 x 3 layer, then 2 x 2 x 2, before finishing with a single saucer at the top.

You are now ready for the fun part!

Step Pour!

Pop open your champagne of choice and start pouring!

Starting from the top...

...don't panic as your glass gets full - simply let it overflow...

...and watch as your bubbles cascade down, filling each of the glasses in the lower layers in turn.

Serve Champagne, Sparkling Wine and Cocktails in iconic vintage style with this pack of 6 Glass Champagne Saucers from Rink Drink.

Said to have been modelled on the - ahem - assets of Madame de Pompadour, the chief mistress of King Louis XV of France, the Champagne Coupe was, in fact, designed in the United Kingdom in the mid-17th Century. Perhaps its greatest association, however, is within the Art Deco stylings of 1920s and 30s America, thanks largely to the high popularity of films like The Great Gatsby.

While the striking style of these glasses is obvious, the iconic silhouette has its practical benefits, too - the large surface area provided by the wide bowl maximises the amount of fragrance and aroma to come forth from your beverage. This has led to the popularity of the Coupe extending far beyond the traditional champagne and into the world of cocktails, where one can often find it as the vessel of choice for Sidecars, Daquiris and more.
