You do not need Night Vision to view this laser. This is a stand alone Green targeting laser and illuminator which will far surpass a LED or similar flashlight hands down.

The LDM-F100G  Long Distance Laser Illuminator is a weapon mount or hand held focus laser light built for civilian, police and military use. The  design integrates either  a  Green Laser  with a thumb controlled Linear Optical Collimator to create the ultimate lighting or illumination instrument. One  thumb control quickly adjusts laser beam diameter and illumination intensity. The  high power laser beam may be collimated down and concentrated to cast an intense, highly visible beam of light able to be seen at distances up to 2 miles. The F-100G  can be used for targeting, signaling or search and rescue operations along with night vision viewing. The F-100G  can be adjusted  so that opening the   collimator more  increases the diameter of the beam which can fully illuminate objects up to 1,000 yards or even a whole specific area for night vision viewing.

The F-50G Laser Locator light utilizes a   Green Laser which operates at 532NM with a output life of up to 4 hours of continuous use.  Green is the easiest light or color for the human eye to see and causes no typical night blindness associated with standard or high intensity flash lights. Thus the F-100G provides illumination completely suitable for night work with the least amount of eye adjustment. The LDM-F100G  works perfect for medium-long range applications  because it uses a focusable laser that will go far beyond a flashlight or Infrared LED illuminators  beam  while still having the capability of  pinpoint targeting laser. The Green laser beam spread is very narrow compared to a flashlight thus giving the user night vision viewing without NV. 

General Product Description

The LDM-F100G laser designator focus illuminator is designed and manufactured in a green  wavelengths of 532nm. Constructed from 6061-T6 Aluminum hard coated oxidation in a  scratch resistant black color. The LDMF50 is manufactured so that the assembly is dust, dirt resistant, waterproof, shock tested to 10g's and is recoil / zero tested on a Barrett .50 cal M82A. The LDM-F50 is FDA 5mW civilian use compliant.

The adjustable mount is designed and manufactured to enable the operator quick and easy elevation and windage adjustment. The mount is designed with a lock screw so it will hold zero under heavy recoil. The mounts will  fit  a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny Rail. The mount will accept a 24.4mm and 30mm (1inch and 1.25 inch) tube.
