This is a leaf from a Hymnal, France, in Latin and French on Paper. The leaf measures 322 x 240mm or approximately 12.75” x 9.00”. It is from the Messe Royale or Royal Mass and features seven staves of four lines each with staves in black ink and notes in Black ink. The leaf features a portion of The Nicene Creed. The main significance of the Nicene Creed was that it established much of what is now known as orthodox Christian teaching on the subject of God and the Trinity. It remains the only statement of faith that is accepted by all major parts of the Christian faith.
